- Work in designated units within hospitals and healthcare facilities, where they care for patients with various medical conditions. These conditions may include post-surgical patients, individuals with unstable vital signs, or those requiring observation after specific medical interventions.
- Monitor, and manage patients’ conditions while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to implement appropriate care plans and promptly escalate any changes in patients’ conditions.
- Strong foundation in medical-surgical nursing and an understanding of various medical conditions.
- Must pay close attention to changes in patients’ conditions and respond promptly.
- Assessing complex situations and making informed decisions are essential skills.
- Often care for multiple patients simultaneously.
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team is crucial.
